Here in Tampa it is 69 right now. Forecast to get down to perhaps 66. That is nice compared to the temps we had been seeing. And the rain, I love the rain. 7 days straight at the airport. (6 days straight at my house) At least two of the days were record rains for the date. Vegetation has been dying around here. Aside from the people paying to having a truck spray reclaimed water, people spending hours hand watering each week (like my dad and I were doing), or illegally watering with sprinklers (which is completely banned in Tampa), there is a lot of stuff that is dead. Very, very dead. Luckily we are finally getting something, because without illegally watering with sprinklers, stuff was dying at various rates depending on how much you water it, but it was dying.
My air conditioner was broken when we had record highs a week and a half or two weeks ago, but it got fixed and works fine now that it has not needed to run all day! Of course several days ago when the heavy rain started we noticed we had a leak in our roof, so I love the rain, but I would prefer it stays outside, lol. (Luckily it is very small, but we needed the rain so I'll take it.) |
