Recent book on the La. "Last Island" hurricane of 1856

Storm had all the elements of a popular "B" movie, with wealthy vacationers at a stylish hotel inundated by the hurricane. As a footnote to the story, I was visiting the prominent plantation home in New Iberia La. "Shadows on the Teche" a few years ago. As I walked over to the handful of family graves on the property, I was surprised to see that two were marked with the inscription "died in the hurricane of 1856'. I'm assuming then that they were some of those upper class folks down at the barrier island along the coast of Terrebonne Parish. The article.
