Ares I-X Flight Test Tuesday Morning (Oct 27th)

Weather permitting, the launch window begins at 8AM EDT and continues until 12PM EDT Tuesday. Currently, only a 40% chance of good weather during the window. That improves to 60% during the 8AM-12PM window on Wednesday if Tuesday does not work out.

It will be a short flight, 6 minutes. I'm not sure what parts of the state of Florida might be able to see it even if the weather were clear.

This rocket could eventually replace the shuttle program, though there is still debate about what direction to go in terms of launch vehicles.
