It looks like the island of Polillo, part of Quezon will be hit then Mirinae will head inland on to Luzon and go just north brushing Manila. For now CIMSS has Mirinae making landfall as a cat 2.
Cypress I hope this CIMSS track, Google map and updated information will give you and his mom some information, hope your 2nd cousin is not in its path.
