It is interesting about a micro black hole being created by LHC.
The physics is a bit over my head, but I would think there is a finite probability, albeit very small, that one could be created based on Heisenberg's uncertanity principle.
If one were produced, the argument is they would decay based on Hawking radiation.
But, I think that is based on the fact there is a Higgs field which is yet to be proven experimentally.
In fact, that is what the current goal of the LHC is; i.e. to detect the presence of the Higgs Boson.
Tongue in cheek, but maybe that is how they plan to detect it.
If a black hole forms and decays --> there is a Higgs Boson.
If a black hole forms and the earth is swallowed up --> no Higgs Boson.
