NWS website changes

I will have to update some links/bookmarks I see, but I like the changes:
"Welcome to the New NWS Houston/Galveston Website
Houston/Galveston NWS web site to undergo changes
The National Weather Service web site has undergone some changes which will likely affect users of the site. These changes have been brought about to bring the site inline with new regulations which will help speed up page loading by balancing the three existing NWS web farms. The main changes to the site you will notice will be new addresses for all the site's individual pages, as well as changes to the left-hand menu on each page. If you have individual pages bookmarked, not including the site's main page, you will need to change your computer's bookmark to the new address.
As of December 2nd, you will possibly encounter errors on pages such as dead links or images missing. In addition, entire pages my not be found on the servers. In cases such as these, please notify the site's webmaster of such problems and they will be addressed quickly.
The National Weather Service thanks you for your patience during this time of transition and hope that you will continue to utilize our site for all your weather needs." |
