Re: Possible Severe Weather in East TX to Develop

That's some pretty strong cape, especially in the GOM. Forth Worth sounding shows possible supercell development with a relatively weak cap, although the greatest threat seems to be a bit further south. Still amazes me what we do with models based on the few number of upper air data for soundings we have for locations.

This storm looks to be pretty interesting. I'm fearing a large NE ice event based on what I keep seeing but based on the fact that the storm still has yet to really crank up, I'm not panicing because things change from run to run, but if theres a good flow of moisture I could see some parts of the NE having a big ice storm to deal with. I'm hoping not. Will depend on how 800/500 advection strength. I really hope not. LOL I'd rather have snow than the ice. Killed my damn Rodadendrum bush I brought back from the brink when I moved here. Grew MONSTEROUS with the right care only for the weight of the ice to snap it in half. Now it's deformed looking. I even tried saving it by slowly pouring warm water over the iced branches to melt and remove some of the weight. Still broke. LOL
