I don't know about what would cause the error.

You are right, the overall quake activity does seem to be high.

Yellowstone is really rumbling.  

They just had a 3.2 a couple hours ago.

I was reading that the geologists feel confident that the activity is related to fault slips rather that magma movement.  

They can tell by using algorithms from the seismo data they get.

Also, they haven't seen any unusual thermal activity.

I am not an expert, but this sure reminds me of the activity I saw last year before Redoubt erupted.

I am not saying it will happen at Yellowstone.

But I would think faults don't give off swarms for over 1 week with over 1000 quakes as the strain on them dissipates.

Something is moving under Yellowstone.
