These models are having a hard time with rain snow. Yesterday morning, NWS said "light snow showers 1-3' mostly rain. We have over a foot right now in ALB and it's still coming down. Just got a strong band that came through was like a whiteout.

The upper level flow (300mb) is very complex with the series of storms doing a "loop" if you will like a hook, so it's having a hard time deciding what the storm will do. IMO, it will be a snow event for Western New England. That voriticy that split off at the 500mb level and is merging with this storm to create this vertically stacked cyclone through the period is very cold and I believe this will be a major snow event.

It's funny this thread is here because I was showing my classmates the "juice" composite from CIMSS and even my proffessor said "oh yeah look that if that works its way up could feed alot of moisture into the area" and what JAC pointed out I think two days ago did exactly waht we thought. I did give credit to JAC and didnt' take it as my own opinion. LOL (at) me saying "my buddy on canetalk always points this out..." And he's got a damn good point for doing so.
