I want wind speed measurements like we had with QuikScat.

'Instruments on board the latest in the GOES family include an imager that senses energy from areas of Earth, and a "sounder" that uses a scan system to gather data from which scientists can calculate temperatures, moisture profiles and ozone distribution.'

Will it be stationary or will it pass over regions periodically?

Will we get to view color images of cloud top temperatures and SST's with this satellite? Will the sounder give us glacier and sea height measurements?

I want eye candy.
