Dying El Nino---Near neutral conditions expected across tropical Pacific by mid-year

This from the World Meteorological Association. A caveat though, forecasting uncertainties make it possible that El Nino could linger on through the rest of the calendar year, however that is not the best bet. So a dying El Nino producing near neutral conditions by mid-year should help to increase tropical formation in the Atlantic this year, I think. And I would expect that the normal round of predictions by Dr. Gray, Accuweather and others which come around April-June will show this. Here's the article.
