The Rex Block may be an early TC setup

500mb GFS forecast continues to show retrograding mid-level lows as they come off the CONUS east coast.

This in turns sets up a good poleward outflow channel along 20N and a low-shear environment (Sub-Equatorial Ridge - SER) along 10N.

Stay tuned - particularly just east of the windward islands.

Watch MSLP and MIMIC-TPW this week.
