I kind of got the idea that it is hard to actually start oil on water - on fire. I know it can happen - ie. Pearl Harbor comes to mind.  Plus, I have heard that the actually oil is not just on the surface, but several inches/feet below it.

Scary when you think that the dispersants, I think, may cause it to sink....right over oyster beds, shrimp areas etc..   I would think that soon we will hear of an FDA ban on all fish/ shellfish caught in that area.  Who wants to eat shrimp that has been swimming around and feeding in oil.

The healthrisk is real to all - including absorption (skin), inhalation and ingestion.

What a mess.
