Wait to see this afternoon

It looks like the LLC has moved inland over the peninsula.

Convection has diminished due to the following:

1)  Dry air from the GOM has pushed south and over the LLC.
2)  Air has capped over the penisula and circulated into the LLC.

This afternoon may be interesting though:

1)  Anticyclone has re-established itself just south of the LLC.
2)  Another anti-cyclone is over Columbia
3)  The anti-cyclones create a great UL ridge for genesis
4)  Air is very unstable.  I was impressed by last evenings sounding over Chetumal.

So, with the UL ridge and very unstable air, convection will mostly likely refire this afternoon as solar heating breaks the inversion in the bounday layer over the peninsula.

All depends on where the anti-cyclones are then.
