No settlement nor economic compensation package can be suffecient condolance for the loss of a beloved lifestyle or the collective culture of a proud and indipendent people.

BP,you have very likely destroyed a very special part of America ! You have killed innocent animals, caused the deaths of hard working men, wrecked a delicate ecosystem, seriously endangered and probably destroyed the economy of the Gulf South. You have erased hopes and dreams, fragmented the future of possibly millions of people. The right and just thing for you to do is to allow experts who want to stop the oil spew to do so,while you step aside and give assistance as needed. When the spew is stopped your attention should then be focused on compensating the people you have harmed while attempting to reverse the enviromental damage you have caused.Your hard working feild employees,''the people who actualy work for you''should be given raises and at least one bonus matching the amount of your last CEO bonus.Beyond these measures every dime of profit you earn should then be spent on compensation and possibly the perservation of wetlands and forest lands which would then become the domain of the American public. If you are not willing to do these things then I hope that all of your assets will be seized by our government and your CEO's arrested and tried for crimes against both man and nature ! Good riddance to you.
