A Destructive Decade for Northern Gulf Coast 2001-2010

Starting on the western edge along the upper Texas Coast near Galveston, heading eastward and including the entire La Coast, the coasts of Miss, Al, and finally the furthest west stretches of the state of Fl including Pensacola and Navarre, this has been one helluva hurricane decade d(and its not over). Need help remembering any of these names?

Texas---Ike (extremely large and very destructive surge and wind)
Humberto(one of the best examples in history of rapid intensification)
Allison (the most destructive tropical storm in history)

La---Katrina (over 1,500 dead)
Rita (same year as Katrina---surge wipes out whole communities)
Cindy (same year as Katrina and Rita--upgraded to hurricane upon further review)
Lilli---serious hurricane impact in 2002 in SW La

Miss---Katrina (hundreds dead on Miss Gulf Coast--unbelievable destruction

Al---Katrina (heavy surge inundates small communities along coast)
Ivan (Another monster hurricane which made landfall near Gulf Shores)

Far West Fl----Ivan (Pensacola takes the brunt of Ivan's devastating surge)
Danny (major hurricane strike near Navarre)

If I've left anyone out along the North Central Gulf Coast I apologize, it was not my intention. To this area we must now add the effects of the oil spill which has now intersected hurricane season 2010.
