The renumbering file came out at 5:25PM EDT (invest_RENUMBER_al932010_al012010.ren). And best to wait until the actual file (invest_al012010.invest) comes out, so that came out at 5:27PM EDT.
Aside from being on the front page of the NHC, the ATCF system is the second most official. The back end of most of the sites you see on the internet use that system that the NHC uses to post information about storms. It does not contain advisory data in the best track files, so always use that data once a storm has developed. However, you can get a heads up 3 hours before a normal NHC advisory time of what the storm might be doing if there are not intermediate advisories due to watches. |
