Your right Mary, "It still could get bad". I'm talking intensity now. Conditions over the Southern Gulf are very, very favorable for intensification. The word from the NHC was to expect a 100 mph hurricane along the Mexican Coast. Earlier it was said that if the storm did move north toward Texas that it might not be so strong (conditions not as conducive). But I'm skeptical of this. I look for serious strengthening in the southern Gulf tonight and tomorrow before Alex begins more of a northward jog as a pretty reasonable hurricane.
