NAM seems to be poor at forecasting tropical development. Its been my experience it doesn't have a clue untill something is solidly formed and has a good intiatlization (good data etc) and then it seems to be more realisitic as opposed to a storm that doesn't happen. Allready have seen it a few times this season with NAM.
