Remember the Moody Blues so well. Turned 18 in 1972. Album "Days of Future Passed" had been in circulation amongst the underground since its release in 1967. But the masses in America were just then catching up (as FM finally began to overtake AM). Became a big hit in '72 five years after release. Same thing happened with "Layla" released in '70, but didn't go commercial till '72. |
