Good moisture but no convection at the moment

Very high amplitude with a good roll. Not pulling much SAL with it. Wide on 850mb vorticity. WV shows good moisture thru the mid-levels. GFS is tracking it across the pond with a possible spin up in the Bahamas around Saturday. Could encounter a TUTT around late Thursday or early Friday that GFS forecasts to be positioned at 30N 53W. Same scenario - could see shear induced MCS convection fire up as the wave hits the SE side of the TUTT. Looks like the TUTT will weaken however and a trough will move off the CONUS coast by Saturday. If this holds up and gets to around 22 to 25N then, could see some good development.        |
