Size of 97L compared to Earl - Big Picture View

Earl is big, but 97L is HUGE.  The size of 97L is one of the things causing the slow development.

Right now Earl covers roughly 57W to 67W or about 600 miles across.

97L covers 33W to 48W or about 900 miles across.  You can see how it would basically fill the GOM if moved there.
