Damages Recap

Earl spared us big time.

As of now, there are some roads bocked due to either trees or streams, and about 50,000 families w/out power.

Some gusts were felt, but I really do not think anything over 40 MPH was sustained (for the mainland, our Islands of Culebra and Vieques did sustain TS Winds).

The biggest impact was before.  Government cancelled clasess for the eastern Counties, and yesterday at 11:00 am they asked all parents to pick up their kids.  Also at that time they asked all government employees (government here has a 60% share of the employement market) to go home.  So yes, you guessed it, Metro area became a gigant gridlock.  A 20 minute drive became a two hour drive.

Besides that, not much more to report!!!

I thank God for having spared us.

I also thank everybody on this board for the inputs and more importantly the good thoughts and prayers for us.
