| Nice call Tom. Inside the ADT Bulls-eye. Been getting good mid tropo heating for the last few days from the constant stratiform precip. Also agree on the top-down genesis. Vorticities are aligned from 500mb to surface with LLC at 15.5N 69.5W. Clear at 200mb. Had enough 360K PV turbulence to kick it down to the surface. I am trying to find a real-time rain-rate shot. About 4 hrs ago TRMM was showing a small hot-tower developing at 16.3N 67.2N. Great updraft - anti-cyclone sitting on top of the LLC. Good to go.       |
