Circulation Maybe Working Towards Surface for 92L
Posted by JAC on 9/13/2010, 7:12 am
Diurnal Max convection this morning has shifted to the NW of the 850mb vorticity max.

Typically, in the last few days, convection has been to the east or NE of the vorticity center.

Recon yesterday indicated there was a good mid-level circulation that was tilted to the SW.

Today, 340K PV shows a small build up over 92L.

This could push the mid-level circulation down to the surface.

Latest ASCAT shows winds under the 850mb max have shifted from east-to-west to now almost north-to-south.

Still has a good anti-cyclone overhead.

Takes a long time to get top-down development.
