What I remember most about Ike was watching the local news and people calling in to say they were in their attics (we watched the news until we lost power). And how Bolivar looked when we drove down there a month after Ike hit. And how when he came through he just kept blowing and blowing and I thought he would never leave. Wasn't as bad for us as Rita had been but it was still pretty bad here in Beaumont. He was just such a HUGE storm!
