I guess the main GFS one I have been starting to look at more is southeast of the area you mention. The GFS has been rather persistent, though with different timing, on taking a strong tropical storm into the Tampa area in the first week of October. (but we're talking as much as 16 days out)
Alex and Karl had origins in this area. Each of those times there was something to the northwest that had more attention but in the end something slipped in and struggled to develop until the west Carib. |
