Tomas a Dying Tropical Depression

Tomas no longer forecast to become a hurricane officially, this storm has been weird to say the least when it was at its weakest it was at its strongest i mean in barbados it was a marginal TS and did more damage than a pass by hurricane allen in 1980 at cat 3 just 15 miles to the north...my gut forecast idea is to go back to my old idea and that will be a 30 to 45 knot system passing out thru the winward passage just to the W of Haiti if not over haiti, now how fast it moves will determine how destructive it is in regards to mudslides to to haiti being only 5% forested  since haitians use wood to heat and cook food not gas or oils........It is still intersting to note that the GFDL makes tomas a strong cat 3 hurricane and lingers it over haiti for 2-3 days(nogaps does much the same) whereas most others now push it fast out to sea..... so if the winds are not a big factor on haiti if it does stall out mudslides and rainfall would be-lets see????   phil n.
