I have some trouble with the dire predictions being made by proponents of man made global warming.  The climate is cyclical and will continue to be.  Events much larger than man (sunspots and volcanic eruptions) have triggered quick cool downs.  After Mt. Pinatubo erupted in 1991, the worldwide temperature dropped 1.1 degrees farenheit worldwide.

The globe has been warming since about 1600 at a reasonably regular rate.  Of course the reliability of temperatures older than 100 years are debatable, but it is widely regarded that there was a "little ice age" which peaked right about 1600.  If you look at a chart, in the past, the changes are smooth and rolling like hills, while recent changes are more spiky.  Are temperature changes getting more severe?  No, it's just that there is a lot more data, so minor fluctuations are noticed while in the past, they may have been missed.
