ALERT *** some of the 0Z Thursday Weather Models are showing Major changes with regard to the System for FEB 22. Since Sunday FEB 13...most of the Models have a Low track over Chicago then into lower MI and Buffalo. And this tracks would mean MILD temps for VA NV MD WVA DE... ** BUT THAT APPEARS TO BE CHANGING **
Starting On WED afternoon the 12z Euro started developing a WEAK -NAO over eastern Canada and a BIG Ocean Low over/ east of Nwfoundland Canada ( called a 50/50 Low) . These two featurews are forcing the LOW on FEB 21 to track MUCH further to the SOUTH... and allowing alot more cold air into WVA VA MD DE on FEB 22-23. And there is nowa large cold HIGH over the Great Lakes.
The 0z Thursday GF & Canadian BOTH show the Low tracking through TN then into NC... bringing Rain to snow over central ILL and IND southern half of OH northern KY and into much of WVA and northern half of VA and far southern MD . Northern half of VA MEANS north of line from Charlottesville to Fredericksburg . For southern half of VA it looks like RAIN that MIGHT end as snow . *** KEEP IN MIND that ... this shift to the south with the Low track is a MAJOR change. The Low track once again COULD shift North ***
0Z EURO is Much weakr with this more southern track of the Low. This model" crushes" the Low as it comes out of ILL.... so it does not drop ANY precip over VA WVA MD DE.... |
