I think positrons with be attracted to electrons because of their opposite charges.

When they collide, they actually annihilate each other and what comes off are two gamma rays each with energy of their rest mass 0.511 MeV.

In high energy experiments the added energy of accelerating the electron and positron are used to generate other heavier particles.
