Thanks for the good pictures. I notice the lights are all green - and am surprised none. I went outside several times while stationed in Southwest Alaska to view Auroras and they were always green.
The only multi-color Aurora I've ever seen was from the window of a jetliner when departing Alaska for the Lower 48 after my tour was up. That display, from 30,000' in the air, was so spectacular...well, it was simply mind-boggling.
