really well said Argosy... really well put

but with canes there is a time element which you live by when you track them which sets your clock in ways, checking satellites, models, watching them develop, waiting for advisories, fascinating things to track

yes, i love the weather and the surf before a storm, storm surge (especially when one is moving parallel to the coast and away) and i can watch them on imagery off and on for hours in the background

going to sleep only to wonder what will happen with it in the morning, if the rapid intensification happened or inexplicably the storm fell apart... or changed path and deviated from the models

from june through at least late october i count my day by six hours periods or three hour periods, waiting for more data

nature's greatest saga that sometimes last weeks if they form by the cape verde islands and track the length of the Ocean and trace the Gulf Stream to England...

and you are right, it's a high that does not leave you much like a first love or a first kiss
