Of course - Sumatra has had what? Two-three more high 8's after the 9.2. Chile too has had a big one this year right after last year. Its to be expected imo of atleast another 8 or two in this area.... but they're still more worried about the (great) Tokai Earthquake... another 8.5'er (or higher... depends how much ruptures) that is expected occur any day now... yes, it hasnt occurred yet, but based on the 100-150 year history (and a lengthy history too), and the last event being 1849, any day now is quite accurate.

Also... Cascadia is at a 30% chance of a big one. Everyone thought that was bad... a Cascadia would prolly send a 20-30 foot Tsunami to parts of the West Coast.

Oh Also... puetro richo trench - thats due too, and could go as high as 9-9.1. The simulations are damn scary... something like a 10 meter Tsunami over Florida... and they have how many nuke plants there?
