Thanks Conclue.
I think I saw the Tampa Sounding showing about 50 knots wind speed at mid levels yesterday.
So, with that high of laminar flow, it is hard for me to explain how the gravity waves would naturally occur.
I think it was about 5 or 6 weeks ago, a sudden and violent storm popped up in SE TN.
ArgosyTN noted that the local mets said that gravity waves were involved with it.
