(CNN) -- Nearly a dozen people were injured Monday afternoon when a tornado slammed into a manufacturing plant near Hopkinsville and severe thunderstorms hit other Southern states, officials said.

Officials in Arkansas reported at least three injuries.

None of the eight injured near Hopkinsville had life-threatening injuries, said spokeswoman Jessica Beckham of Jennie Stuart Medical Center.

The Kentucky Division of Emergency Management reported possible tornadoes touching down in Ballard County near La Center, with injuries being reported.

Christian County is reporting damage to the industrial park with several buildings damaged or destroyed in Hopkinsville, the department said. The manufacturing plant is located between Hopkinsville and Pembroke.

One injury was reported from a storm that hit a trailer park in Greenville, Kentucky, said Police Chief Darren Harvey.

Storms also struck Humphreys County, Tennessee, about 60 miles west of Nashville, according to authorities.

"We were hit hard in our downtown area," said Waverly City Manager Buddy Frazier.

Although no injuries were reported, trees, power lines, roofs and structures were down, Frazier told CNN.

A dispatcher said a communications tower was down in Humphreys County, but workers were still able to send and receive messages.
