Looks like a rough ride this week - severe weather is back

Getting strong 320K PV anomalies ejecting from the Rockies into the Plains.

Was quiet for the first half of the month, but looks like that is over.

Tuesday and Thursday looks bad.

That heavy snow pack in the Rockies will support strong height falls.

Seeing at least one TX Hooker and a Rockies Lee Low spinning up phasing with negative-tilt shortwaves.

At least the mid-level PV anomalies are spinning off into the Atlantic and keeps feeding the TUTT.

So no Atlantic TC formation for a while - shear will still be heavy.

Could see a second TX Hooker around the weekend.
