Morning Hanna:

I haven't checked Songda for a couple days due to the severe weather here.

Has really developed well, now Cat 4.

So, by the time Songda gets close to Japan, it will be extra-trop.

As you know, the wind field then expands and rotates counter-clockwise at the surface.

Fukushima is to the NW of Tokyo

So at some point, the winds will blow from the NE over Fukushima and be directed to Tokyo.

Looks like around 18Z on the 30th.

Three reactors are in melt down and spewing mega-doses of radiation.

The rain will wash all that down on to a population of around 20 million people or more.

Health effects will be begin to be catastrophic in about a year or so and last for decades.
