There is also a private messaging system with this forum that some people may not know about. You can click someone's username and once on their profile page most people can be contacted by email. People can choose whether or not they can be contacted through this forum. Email addresses are never revealed. (unless someone puts their email address in the message)

Posting email addresses publicly allows a computer to extract that from websites and then you can get spam and viruses. To help reduce that a bit, this forum replaces the @ symbol in an email address with an image of the symbol. Might not help much, but I thought it was best to do that rather than block emails completely.
