96L is currently sitting in about 20 to 25 knots of shear.
GFS is showing a very slow move west of the ULL.
GFS really doesn't pick up the ULL's speed until about 48 hrs from now which puts 96L at landfall.
96L really needs to generate a large hot tower in order to overcome the shear.
