I called the SE coast a few days ago.  Yes I'm touting my own horn because I'm never right!  The ridge over the central USA, besides unusual and deep, and perhaps shifted east so far, will control storm paths more than the usual suspects as long as it's there.  There is going to be a midlevel weakness along the east coast as long as its 100 in Minnesota.  This is like an upside down October pattern.  The problem is if this pattern continues into the wave train in 4-^ weeks, the waves may ride under a ridge but there will be more weaknesses for them to pop north.  I think there's going to be a storm or 2 curve around some erratic highs this year.  We could see some crazy paths this year.  But remember, I'm always wrong ;)
