seems to destined to truck into drought-ridden Texas at some point. Am I wrong on this?

The high that baked much of the east coast is gone, but a new high is centered over the mid section of the country and is expected to do some more baking there.

This high should keep 90L shoved WNW.

No models even show a blip right now, so it's hard to know what the dynamics will be, but Texas sure could use it.
