Models and calculating the Ridge strength

| It appears that some of the models are having a little difficulty calculating a weakness in the ridge at some point....or under-estimating the strength of the ridge; also the ULL on Florida's east coast may not be taken into acount just yet as JAC and others have stated this evening. Gonna be tricky for a day or so. I have already been to the store and EVERYONE stated "well, the local news and TWC said it is going to the Texas middle coast as a "middle of the road" tropical storm and I'm not worried". I wish the local and mass media would stress to everyone there can be large error in location and strength at this point in a MANNER the average ley person can understand that this can be very tricky. Hoping for the rain and for people not to be taken aback if Don ends up far away from where they were told it was going. SHORT MEMORIES people have. |
