yes... it seems we'll be getting florida's tropical storm conditions up here
Some places are going with 2 inches (50mm) ... others are going with 75mm (3 inches). Big factor is how much moisture is pulled off the lakes and dumped on us.

Rainfall warning for
City of Toronto issued

Heavy rainfall today and tonight.

A low pressure system currently over Kentucky will be tracking northeastward towards Southern Ontario today. Periods of rain, in advance of the low, will begin over Southwestern Ontario this morning and gradually spread into Eastern Ontario this evening.

Rainfall will become heavy at times this afternoon in Southwestern Ontario and this evening over south Central Ontario giving total rainfall amounts of up to 50 mm by Thursday morning. The rain is expected to taper to scattered showers Thursday.

In addition, very strong northeast to easterly winds will develop north of the low today. Widespread winds are forecast to be 40 to 50 km/h with gusts up to 70 km/h possible. For regions along the western shore of Lake Ontario, where wind warnings have been issued, sustained wind speeds of 60 km/h with gusts to 90 km/h are expected to begin this evening. Winds are forecast to diminish Thursday morning.

Environment Canada continues to monitor the development of the situation closely. Refer to your local public forecast for further details.
