perhaps I read it wrong, but I think Chris was alluding to global warming, sounds like Jim's on that same page?  

I would imagine funding $s (tight everywhere now it seems) are better spent on something that at least hints at accurate results, maybe spending more time on projects like this  http://www.e-transit.org/hurricane/welcome.html
