Vacation viewing - Keys hurricane "sights"?

My son and I will be spending a few days of his Spring Break in Key West.  We will fly to Fort Lauderdale on a Friday afternoon and spend Friday night in Key Largo before driving to Key West on Saturday, returning back to Fort Lauderdale for a Tuesday night Panthers game and then over to Tampa for the Frozen Four the rest of the week.  I've always wanted to drive the Overseas Highway and I get my chance this year.

I am aware of the Hurricane Monument in Marathon.  Is there anything else that a couple of weather geeks should see in the Keys?  Going to be strange standing where a 20 foot storm surge came through 77 years ago.

Are there any museums that would have some hurricane exhibits?

Going to need to find my book on the Labor Day Hurricane and try to re-read it before we go.

I have been looking for some damage maps from Andrew since we will be going through the Homestead / Florida City area on our way in and out of the keys.  I think I have the general area of damage down, but if anyone can point me to any good on-line sites I would appreciate it.

Thanks
