solar flare?

This was on the NBC Facebook page...should I (we) be very worried?

"NASA is reporting that in the last hour, an X5.4-class solar flare has erupted from a massive sunspot region called AR1429.

A powerful X-class flare can create long lasting radiation storms, which can harm satellites, communications systems, and even ground-based technologies and power grids.

At this point, however, it's too early to tell if there will be any major effects."
