As we enter the new season early, how do you rate your statistical chances?

The Alabama Coast has only gone 6 years without a hurricane affecting its coast twice in the past 44 years. This two times were 1970-1975 and 1989-1994. The Alabama Coast has not gone 7 consecutive years in that time period. 2012 would make 7 straight years of no hurricane affecting the area. I just wonder how long the odds can stay in your favor. Irrespective of anything else, just based on a purely statistical analysis, the Alabama Coast is living on some very borrowed time.
If you have that type of statistical/oddsmaking mindset, are you starting to wonder when your area's number gets called? |
