I thought that the last time this happened, it was over FL too. And, I remember the discussion centering around the great amount of rain that was coming down. FL's topography...when highly drenched helps somewhat maintain tropical charateristics.

Or, am I not remembering correctly?

Beryl will most likely pop quickly back to a TS when it hits that nearby Gulfstream. 'Kinda surprised that at least a Tropical Watch is not posted....just along the shoreline until he moves away a bit.
