Yea, I think we are seeing pressures lower due to the MJO upward swing - high pressure over the Great Lakes and lowering pressures in the the Carribean and Gulf.  I believe Fla. is about to get hammered with a few days of rain and more rain from the trough just south of you right now.

This guy at Crown Weather Services stated in his morning blog, "It needs to be pointed out that very heavy rainfall with the threat for flooding will begin to affect south Florida today and continue right into this weekend. Total rainfall amounts of 3 to 6 inches with local amounts of up to 10 inches are expected over the next several days."
